The program consists of 2.5 days of workshops and practical exercises.

This program is designed for anyone who needs to negotiate commercially or is involved in strategic decision making. The program is ideal, for example, for senior management, sales, and account directors, and global business leaders.

Course description

Leaders face daily challenges that require persuasion and influence. You buy, you sell, you lead, you cooperate. Negotiation skills are of immense value in achieving solutions that both you and your counterpart can be satisfied with. World-class deals require world-class skills.  

The World-Class Negotiator program offers great insight into negotiations. You will increase your expertise to prepare and execute important negotiations through a structured process (APEC+R). The process helps you to analyze, prepare, execute, and close your negotiations and review your negotiation approach. The program will also give you an insight into how to be more effective in negotiations, how to influence your negotiation partners, and how to optimize the outcome. The program helps you to identify your personal negotiation style and improve your individual skills for successful negotiations.  

The program will help you to prepare a roadmap for the deal by defining objectives, strategy, key issues, limits, team roles, alternatives, and BATNA (best alternative to a negotiated agreement). You will also dig deeper into the psychology of negotiations, negotiation styles, tactics, and achievement of goals.   

The program consists of individual preparatory work and 2.5 days of workshop and practices. You will receive feedback on your development and have many chances to review your learning. 

Teaching takes place at Aalto EE's premises in Helsinki.
