Course description
The Strategic Sustainability for Business program explores the challenges and possibilities of sustainability and interlinking with a business strategy.
The program has been created to enhance the importance of an incorporated sustainability strategy and to guide business development in a responsible direction. To ensure this, Aalto EE delivers a world-class program for the forerunners of today's rapidly evolving business world.
By participating in the program, you will explore the link between strategy and sustainability and reflect on future business success enabled by sustainable action. You are presented with new views on the innovation mindset and how to see potential competitive advantages in sustainable business models.
The program consists of onsite training sessions where the latest academic research meets hands-on expertise. During the training sessions, lectures alternate with group discussions and sharing with peers. The program includes pre-assignments; 4.5 ECTS credits can be transferred from this program to the Aalto Executive MBA or Aalto MBA programs. The training sessions build on themes such as strategy design for sustainability, best practices, and sustainability communication.
To ensure that participants will reach the set goals during the intensive module, the program has been constructed around different elements, including sessions and activities such as lectures given by experienced faculty – all top experts in their field – and interactive discussions and group work, according to the given assignments.
Teaching takes place at Aalto EE's premises in Helsinki.
