Course description
Quality management means systematic and strategic development of the organization's operations according to the principles of continuous improvement. The continuous improvement model is based on Deming's quality circle Plan-Do-Check-Act: plan-implement-track/evaluate-make improvements. By repeating this model, you continuously improve and enable systematic problem-solving as part of the quality culture.
The main content of the MQ – Mastering Quality program is the essentials of quality management and improvements in an organization's performance. The program responds to the development needs of the quality professionals of the digital era. The program provides ways to improve competitiveness and prepare you for future challenges. The training deepens and renews the organization's quality efforts. It inspires you to evaluate your organization's activities thoroughly, how you develop them, and yourself as a quality professional.
The program's main themes are strategic development and management of quality, quality tools and their application, process management, change management, operational excellence, future perspectives on quality management, and personal development as a quality expert.
You will gain a comprehensive view of quality management and process management during the program. You will learn to improve your organization's performance and achieve real changes. After the program, you can lead development work and choose the appropriate quality tools and methods. You will gain certainty as a quality professional, will be able to improve processes, rehearse quality tools and methods, create operating models for managing change and developing quality culture, and learn how to set measurable goals and evaluate performance.
You will do assignments to apply the methods, tools, principles, and operating models you have learned into practice between the study modules.
The program consists of seven study modules for a total of 13 days.
The program is held in Finnish.
Teaching takes place at Aalto PRO's premises in Helsinki.
