Course description
A considerable part (up to 60–80%) of a company's costs come from the purchased spend of external services and goods. Effective management of external resources requires changes in both mindset and organizational model. The improvements can significantly affect such factors as corporate profitability, reporting practices, and strategy processes.
The Hankintojen johtaminen (Supply Management) training program has been designed in cooperation with Aalto University's experts and business representatives. The training is best suited to support companies and procurement professionals whose ambition is to develop procurement to better support business objectives in cooperation with internal and external resources. Training can be executed as a whole (11 training days), or choose one or more modules.
The training addresses procurement's role in a company's success. It develops your skills for developing procurement operating models. You will have assignments and learn new frameworks to apply in practice and deepen the learning through your work. After the training, you will have an overview of the procurement that best supports your organization's business objectives. The program provides new insights, applicable concepts, and hands-on tools that enhance and facilitate your daily work.
The program includes training days, online courses, and practical learning assignments. There are two different study paths: narrow (15 ECTS) and extensive (20 ECTS).
During the teaching days, we utilize various learning methods: lectures, discussions, group assignments, and games. Before the modules, you will get acquainted with the themes through videos and a selection of academic articles, which will help you understand the theoretical basis and terminology before participating in the joint sessions.
The program is held in Finnish.
The teaching takes place at Aalto PRO's premises in Helsinki.
