The course topics include an overview of global logistics and freight distri-bution, logistics and the spatial networks, logistics infrastructure, modes of transportation, transportation planning and execution, costing and pricing for logistics, logistics outsourcing, warehousing and materials handling, inventory and quality management, logistics technology and systems, and logistics risk management.

Course description
The course is intended to provide an overall understanding of logistics and distribution networks. Students will understand how logistics activities are to be organized, and how they play a key role for global businesses in a turbulent and constantly chainging marketplace. The course will also provide insights into the diverse operational and strategic content of logistics/distribution, which is essential for the effective management of global supply chains that have become more complex with a multitude of challenges.
