Course description
Effective utilization of data and analytics provides opportunities for many companies to develop their business. However, the challenge is how to make masses of data serve business operations in the best possible way, and how to integrate this into day-to-day practices and the company culture.
The Analytics and Data Strategies program will help you develop your company’s data strategy and knowledge-based management culture, which will also increase your company’s competitiveness. The training will help you to pay attention to your company's data and the data available in the broader ecosystem, and the possibilities for combining them.
After the program, you will understand the value created by data, its potential, and the metrics for quality and ways to improve it. You will also develop your knowledge of the practical application of data analytics in decision-making, and understand the importance of data visualization.
The program's key themes are knowledge-based strategies, digitization, big data, artificial intelligence, analytics, data analysis, data governance, digital ethics, and data visualization.
The program consists of a pre-coaching online Essentials of Data and Analytics course followed by three training days with hands-on examples, readings, and group work. The total workload is approximately 30 hours, including 24 hours of teaching and six hours of self-paced learning while completing the online course and preliminary assignments. The program is held in Finnish.
Teaching takes place at Aalto EE's premises in Helsinki.
