Aalto MBA for Executives (Aalto MBA) is a life-changing two-year program that transforms your professional future. It is designed for experienced professionals and leaders who are committed to challenge themselves in an innovative way. The program will prepare you for the next step. It is a true transformation journey: not only will you enhance your personal leadership skills, but also competences such as strategic thinking and holistic understanding of today’s business, as well as leadership and change management. Sustainability is integrated as a cross-cutting theme throughout the program: you will become a responsible change agent in your organization and gain the tools and insights needed to transform and lead your organization to a sustainable business.

The Aalto MBA program covers all the topics relevant to general management at an executive level. The core modules, which build the foundation, are mainly offered during the first year. The second year of studies focuses on electives. You may choose modules from two concentration areas: Entrepreneurship & Creativity and Finance & Data. Aalto MBA expands your career opportunities and development at work with a hands-on approach. There are contact learning sessions, online learning, individual and group assignments including group discussions, case work, and presentations, during which participants can share experiences and learn from each other. You can apply frameworks and tools in practice while completing the modules, not only for your organization, but also in co-operation with other companies such as start-ups. An impactful personal development process, and a consultancy-type business project done in small teams, will be an important part of your MBA journey. 

The program is designed for people working full-time. It includes a monthly contact teaching period of four days from Wednesday to Saturday with most classes delivered outside office hours. Diversity is a value in the Aalto MBA: the program brings together people with a versatile and international background. Participants typically have around 12 years of relevant work experience, however the common denominator is change. Many already have managerial positions but are looking for a change or to develop their skills further, some want to move up the leadership ladder or move from a support to a business function, some have ambitions to become entrepreneurs, or change their current sector entirely. The MBA gives you tools for all of these.

The Aalto MBA for Executives program can be completed entirely in Helsinki; however, we offer several options for international experience and networking, for example optional study tours and Aalto Executive Summits. In addition, participants can attend an exchange program at one of the Aalto MBA program’s partner universities around the world.
